Six people were shot, one fatally, in Austin early Sunday morning, Chicago police said. At approximately 2:48 a.m. on Sunday, police officers responded to a call reporting a large gathering in the 100 block of North La Crosse Avenue. They found six people who had been struck by gunfire.
