Speaking with reporters on Sunday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone left the door open for LeMahieu to rejoin the team as soon as Monday in Seattle but stopped short of declaring that the veteran infielder has an everyday playing role upon his return.

The New York Yankees will activate DJ LeMahieu on Tuesday and plan to start him on Wednesday. Manager Aaron Boone revealed how often he will play after his return from injury.
