What a fascinating and gorgeous place. Millions of shells in intricate patterns from who knows when and who knows why? A fascinating mystery. Really needs to be seen to be believed, I really loved it.Full review by amandacC6752SI

Interesting grotto, totally weird and bizarre. The map was handy to help you see the sculptures on the wall, love the history of it and how it’s just on a backstreet in Margate! Gift shop was great …Full review by Philip G

How long does it take to make your way around the attraction?

Not very long, about 10/15 minutes. There’s also a room with museum pieces and written info if you are interested.

Hello. I am disabled and have trouble walking. However, I managed quite easily. Take your time. It is not a "huge" venue and I think you could manage reasonably well. There are no exceptional "ups and downs". It is well worth the visit. I suggest you try it. If I can manage - most will! Enjoy your visit. Peter

As you arrive, there is a reception area where you can buy your admission tickets.

You don't need to book beforehand, we went at a quiet time so the grotto was practically empty which made it even more amazing.
