The Glockenspiel in Marienplazt is worth a visit at 11 or noon daily. It’s free to watch and is about 15 minutes long. Arrive a bit early for a good view.Full review by CookDee

Very popular tourist spot in Munich. Large crowds to witness it. It only happen 3 times daily so make sure you get there to experience it.Full review by ericfleck
How do you get to the observation deck in the Rathaus in Munich? You mentioned it in your post and I cannot find anything online other than comments saying the you can go up to the observation deck. Thanks, Mitch
A:
There is an elevator on the left hand side as you go thru the main gate. this takes you to the 3rd or 4th floor where you can pay to take a different elevator to the observation deck
