Plan ahead or visit on the fly Not good at planning ahead? No problem. Just arrive and enjoy the safe, peaceful and friendly vibe of our much-loved Christchurch holiday park. We think of everything, so you can experience a fully planned holiday with top accommodation options, amazing family facilities and no stress. Only 15 minutes from the Christchurch CBD and the airport, we are a world away from cares. Wind down in the pool as the kids make the most of the entertainment.
For our last two nights on the South Island we need to know if Christchurch top 10 or Akaroa is for us. Family of four, 2 adults 2 children. We would enjoy walking to restaurants or cafes and seeing the sights by foot ... friends (without kids) loved the quaint town of Akaroa but perhaps that is not the place for us... any suggestions ?

Hi, I do think that it is a really good accommodation when you have kids. They can run around and people expect kids in that place. And it is a nice friendly atmosphere. Yes there is restaurant nearby and the staff at reception will help you out to give you instructions and recommendation on where is there and how to get from A-Z. You will be able to get around by foot if you are happy to walk 20 mins to 1 hour but some stuff are too far and you will need transport Antarctic center (Which is great with kids and near airport..) but there is public transport (Bus and shuttles) and if you really wanted to go in the hills, to the cave on the outside of the city (Bring torch and gum boots) and the Antarctic center...you might consider to hire a car for one or 2 days as sometime it becomes cheaper. No matter where you will go some tourist stuff will be near and some far depending on what you want to see and do. But the top 10 will help you out to sort your itinerary. I which you a great trip. Christchurch is special and worthwhile seeing (Gondola, tourist tram, container shops, old cathedral/earthquake zone, White chairs...) Have fun
Hi. Are the park facilities for kids (such as bikes, jumping pillow and heated swimming pool) free? Or do we need to pay additional fees? How much do they cost? Thanks.

Hi there, I think I replied to your email directly, however to answer your question, no we don't offer a shuttle service. We recommend super shuttle who charge $23 for the first person in your group, $5 for each additional person. Alternatively you can catch a taxi for around $38 each way for up to 4 people. Kind regards, Tammara
