Masinloc, officially the Municipality of Masinloc, is a municipality in the province of Zambales, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 54,529 people. Scarborough Shoal, located 220 kilometres to the west, is claimed by the Philippine government as Philippine territory under the town's jurisdiction. The longstanding territorial dispute over the shoal with China has negatively impacted fishermen of the community, reducing catch sizes and affecting other businesses.
