I have hiked the trail several times during the year; May with wild rhododendrons, August and Sept with dry warm conditions and January with lots of moss and wetter conditions. During all of these time we have met several hikers on this short lush trail. I really believe it is too heavily used for bears or other wildlife. It is a quick jaunt down to a long sandy beach where you can continue walking for miles.
