well its not on the train but in the summit restaurant. the trains no wider then 3 1/2 bottoms 4 is a squash so no room im aware of for dinning car. cant recommend the dinner experience …

before you start please remember the mountain area Mist's over very quickly and is very bleak at top! if you Google your guestion the answer is 2.5 hours & 9.4 km(3.5 miles as crow flies) but the directions use a lot of A18 MAIN RD!! upto the BUNGALOW, a lot of people do the well known last bit(path/trail )from "tram stop"(were rails cross road) on mountain Rd up to café on top of Snaefell Mountain, this is still quite steep & slippy in places but is off main rds
