I believe there may be restrictions, but do check with the Gulf Islands Ranger office before booking. I do know that any pets must be leashed at all times, and not left unattended. Also, I would take along a licensed Veterinarian certificate of current rabies vaccination just in case.

The Davis Bayou unit also oversees the islands: Horn, east and west Ship, and Cat I believe. Because the public ferry does not allow dogs, and you can't approach any of these islands without encountering a beach, dogs are likely not allowed on the offshore barrier islands either.

We did not camp while there but I do know camping is available and reservations are necessary. I pulled this from their web site: "We highly recommend all reserving a campsite well in advance by visiting recreation.gov or calling 1-877-444-6777. You cannot make reservations by calling the park." I'm pretty sure there is an online method for reserving your spot and I'm pretty sure you can find out how to secure that by calling the number above...we are dealing with a government installation, so I'm pretty sure that I can't be sure about how they might go about it. You can be sure that there will be a few hoops to jump through but I am sure you can get it done...hope that helps!
