The El Mina “Castle” (actually a fortress/slave dungeon) was very impactful. The guides are very knowledgeable and tell the story clearly and passionately. It was heartbreaking but very educational and a fascinating experience that I HIGHLY recommend. If you can only visit one “castle” this is the one.

It is 5 Cedi for Ghanaian and 40 for foreigners (adult) - a classic case of discrimination. As for kids, it can be anything between 1 -3 Cedi depending on age.
