Known locally as whinstone for the sound it makes when hit by a stonemasons hammer, it provides a natural throne upon which the castle sits forty five metres above sea level.

Bamburgh is a small village not a town Best bet is to contact the Castle. They had a little golf buggy to take people with issues up the hill to the Castle but not sure about mobility scooters …
Bamburgh is a small village not a town Best bet is to contact the Castle. They had a little golf buggy to take people with issues up the hill to the Castle but not sure about mobility scooters for hire. Next town along is Seahouses you could check if they have a place to hire scooters.

Hi I’m so sorry but I’m not sure but I did notice that the was golf carts that the older generation had paid for to get around the ground but not sure if you contact the castle or someone else
